CFBI Missions

Established with the Vision to reach out to the 15 million blind persons living in India with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Mission serves with the motto “Gospel to the Blind and Gospel through the Blind”.
From its inception, the Foundation has been committed to evangelistic outreach seeking to bring the blind from their spiritual darkness into the Light of Christ.

The C.F.B.I. Missions Department plays a vital role in this vision by training and sending blind evangelists, along with their wives, to minister in villages and communities in their respective areas in the state of Tamilnadu.
The ministry carries out a wide range of spiritual and community-cantered activities, including:
•    Prayer and fellowship meetings
•    Personal evangelism
•    House visiting and counselling
•    Bible study groups
•    Leadership Seminars and retreat camps
•    Village evangelism
•    Christmas Programme (Festival of Joy for the Blind)
•    Outreach programs through Braille literature
Several thousands of Blind persons have been reached and saved through this ministry.     

The Department of Mission involved comprises of 12 Blind/ Disabled couple who work among the fellow brethren in 20 Districts of Tamilnadu such as Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, Trichirappalli, Tanjavur, Villupuram & Kallakuruchi ,Madurai, Kanyakumari, Vellore-Tirupatthur, Dharmapuri-Krishnagiri  Coimbatore & Tirupur, Salem & Erode, Karur and Nammakkal and Puduchery UT. 
In the year 2022 the Alfred George Institute of Christian Mission was established to exclusively train and prepare visually challenged missionaries in Theology & Ministry to further equip missionaries and evangelists to serve faithfully in unreached regions... A two- year’s diploma certificate is awarded to them on successful completion of the course.
The Mission Department conducts regular retreats for its field staff at the organization’s headquarters in Chennai every three months, in order to plan and review the field work carried out among blind and disabled persons in each district.
